Agnieszka Radwanska reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon at the expense of Italy's Camila Giorgi this afternoon.
Radwanska, who has been seeded third for the tournament, began the encounter brightly as she went about claiming two breaks of Giorgi's serve.
Giorgi had no reply as her Polish opponent claimed the opening set 6-2 in just under 30 minutes.
Both players held their opening two service games as the second set got off to an even start.
However, Radwanska then went on to win the next three games to leave herself serving for the set. Giorgi did manage to break to reduce the arrears to 5-3 in Radwanska's favour.
It proved to be only a minor blip for the Pole though, who broke back at the next time of asking to wrap up a 6-2 6-3 victory.
