Madison Keys has insisted that she played "pretty well" in her second-round win over Elizaveta Kulichkova at Wimbledon.
The 21st seed won 6-4 7-6 to make the third round at SW19 for a third year in a row, setting up a meeting with Tatjana Maria of Germany.
The American told reporters: "I think it's really important being able to win when you're not playing your best, or you come into a tournament not having a lot of matches and kind of struggling through some early rounds, but I think I played pretty well today. I played better than the first round. I was just really happy."
Keys reached her first Grand Slam semi-final at the start of the year in the Australian Open.
