Olympic gold medallist Andy Murray has revealed that he is planning to stay in a quiet area of Manhattan to help improve his chances of success at the upcoming US Open.
Murray, who has made one final at Flushing Meadows in 2008, is hoping a different hotel and the decision to avoid the court as much as possible will give him a better chance of winning his first Grand Slam.
"[I'm] staying in a quieter hotel this time and trying to make sure I don't spend too much time around the courts," Reuters quotes Murray as saying.
"I have stayed in a lot of different hotels in the seven or so years I have been playing here and I just decided to go for something a bit different.
"A lot of the slams I have tried to stay somewhere quieter because that's what I like. When I have played well at Wimbledon I have stayed at home and it's normally fairly quiet where I live. I like that."
Murray has reached four major finals in his career but has lost each of them - three times to Roger Federer and once to Novak Djokovic.
