Epic comeback earns Klara Zakopalova first WTA singles title since 2005

Klara Zakopalova's six-match losing streak in finals ends as she picks up her first WTA singles title since 2005 by winning the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianopolis.

Klara Zakopalova picked up her first WTA singles title since 2005 on Saturday.

The 32-year-old from the Czech Republic overcame second seed Garbine Muguruza to win the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianopolis.

Zakopalova had lost her last six finals, including a 6-1 4-6 6-1 defeat to Kurumi Nara at last week's Rio Open.

It looked as though that record was about to be extended when Muguruza powered into a 6-4 5-2 lead, but Zakopalova fought back incredibly to win 11 consecutive games and secure a 4-6 7-5 6-0 victory.
