Fernando Verdasco has moved into round two of the Paris Masters with a 3-6 6-2 6-3 victory over Marin Cilic this afternoon.
However, Verdasco didn't have it all his own way in the French capital, having slipped to a 6-3 defeat in the opening set.
The Spaniard responded in the next set though, recording a 6-2 success to take the match into a decider.
Croatian Cilic was unable to recapture his form from earlier in the encounter, eventually falling to a 6-3 loss to the world number 23.
Verdasco will now face Tomas Berdych in the next round.
