Serena Williams has admitted that there will always be pressure on her when she steps onto the court to compete on the WTA Tour.
The world number one, who has been out of action for over a month, returns to the court on Thursday to begin her Sony Open campaign against Yaroslava Shvedova, and she insists that she is happy to deal with the focus on her in Miami.
"There is a tremendous amount of pressure when you step on the court," Williams told reporters.
"It's bigger news for me to lose than it is to win. Usually it's big, front cover news if I lose.
"But I don't look at it as pressure. Billie Jean King always told me, 'pressure is a privilege'."
Williams will be defending the Sony Open title she won last year later this week.
