Rafael Nadal will return to training following a serious knee injury in 15 days, according to his uncle and coach Toni.

The Spaniard has been sidelined with an inflammation of the tissue behind his left kneecap since he was surprisingly beaten in the second round of Wimbledon by Lukas Rosol in June.

The 26-year-old could now be back on court in time for November's ATP World Tour Finals and his country's Davis Cup final against Czech Republic.

"In 15 days, Rafa will resume training, in time for him to aim to play in the Masters (ATP Tour Finals) and the final of the Davis Cup," Toni Nadal told Fox Sports.

The ATP Finals run from November 5 to November 12, while the Davis Cup final takes place from 16-18.
