A leg injury forces Andy Murray to pull out of the Swiss Open in Basel just moments before he was due to take on Robin Haase.

Great Britain's Andy Murray has withdrawn from the Swiss Open in Basel with a leg injury.

The world number three was due to take on Holland's Robin Haase in the opening round of the competition this afternoon.

Murray had requested a wild card entry into the tournament in a bid to stay in shape ahead of the ATP World Tour Final in London later this month.

His place in the draw has now been handed to Switzerland's Marco Chiudinelli.
