Dan Evans: 'I'm proud of Zagreb run'

Great Britain's Dan Evans admits that he is proud of reaching his first ATP Tour semi-final in Zagreb.

British number two Dan Evans has admitted that it was tough to be excluded from the Davis Cup squad last week, but he is grateful that the experience has turned into a blessing in disguise.

Evans missed out on Great Britain's 3-1 success over the USA but managed a run to the semi-finals in Zagreb that will see him move at least 20 places up the world rankings.

The 23-year-old told the tournament's official website: "To not be picked for the Davis Cup was tough, but to come here to get as far as I have done is really good. I'm proud of what I've done so far."

Evans will face top seed Tommy Haas in the last four in Croatia.
