Zheng Jie has revealed that her performances at Wimbledon have given her confidence for the upcoming Olympic Games in London.
Despite taking the first set, the 28-year-old was knocked out at SW19 yesterday afternoon at the round three stage by four-time winner Serena Williams.
However, Zheng has insisted that her belief remains intact ahead of the Games which get underway in a fortnight.
"She is very good player, and I played very close in that match," Zheng told AFP.
"I think it gives me more confidence for the Olympics, and also I'm so happy to come back to the Centre Court and many guys came to support me and gave me the power to fight."
Zheng won bronze at the 2008 Games in Beijing.
