Timea Bacsinszky comes from behind to beat Ekaterina Makarova at Indian Wells

Timea Bacsinszky beats Ekaterina Makarova two sets to one in the BNP Paribas Open third round at Indian Wells.

Timea Bacsinszky came from a set down to beat eighth seed Ekaterina Makarova 3-6 7-5 6-4 at Indian Wells today.

Makarova broke Bacsinszky's serve in game four, and survived two break points in game seven to win the first set.

The players traded breaks in the second set, with Bacsinszky taking the final game against serve to force the match into a final set.

The third set was also dominated by the breaks of serve, with Makarova taking a 0-3 lead, but Bacsinszky broke in games four, eight and 10 to set up a third-round match against Elina Svitolina.
