The referee who dismissed Wales captain Sam Warburton during their World Cup semi-final loss to France has revealed that he has no regrets over the decision.
Alain Rolland's verdict was seen by many as a game-changing one, but the official believes that he made the correct ruling.
"If I had to do it all over again I would do the same thing," he told the Western Mail. "I don't think it needs to be vindicated full stop. The important part for referees, no matter what sport it is, is to take the emotion out of it."
The French advanced to the final with a 9-8 win over Warren Gatland's side.
