British and Irish Lions star Leigh Halfpenny has been given the Player of the Year Award for 2013 by the Rugby Union Writers' Club.
The Cardiff Blues full-back was named man of the series as Warren Gatland's side won in Australia last summer, and picked up the Player of the Tournament prize on his way to successfully helping Wales regain their Six Nations title in March.
The BBC Sports Personality of the Year runner-up, 25, collected his latest individual accolade on Monday night when he was presented with the Pat Marshall Trophy at a dinner function in London.
RUWC chairman Adam Hathaway said in a statement: "Leigh was a convincing winner of our vote and a worthy recipient of the award not only for his performances for the Lions but his displays in the Six Nations earlier in the year."
Past winners of the award include Martin Johnson, Jonny Wilkinson, Sam Warburton and Jonah Lomu.
