Saracens have been crowned champions of Europe for the first time in their history after recording a 21-9 win over Racing 92 in the final of the Champions Cup.
The English side took the lead after just eight minutes when Owen Farrell scored a penalty, but Johan Goosen levelled the scores with his boot just after the quarter-hour mark.
Farrell landed a further three penalties in the first half, compared to a total of two from Goosen, to make it 12-6 at half time.
New Zealander Dan Carter, so often one of the most dangerous players on the field, was unable to take kicks at goal for Racing, and eventually went off injured after 42 minutes.
From then on it was mostly one-way traffic as Sarries dominated the second half, and three more Farrell penalties ensured that the title was heading back to London.
