Bryan Redpath has reportedly been sacked as Sale Sharks director of rugby following the club's worst ever start to an Aviva Premiership season.
A 23-16 defeat at the hands of Worcester Warriors at the weekend inflicted a seventh consecutive loss on Sale since the beginning of the campaign.
These results have resulted in mounted pressure on Redpath, and the Scotland international was eventually dismissed from his role on Monday evening.
Chief executive Steve Diamond will take temporary charge, with club consultant and one-time New Zealand coach John Mitchell expected to be named Redpath's permanent successor in the near future.
