Ben Kay: 'England still Six Nations contenders'

Former England lock Ben Kay believes that the team can still be crowned Six Nations champions despite losing their opening game to France on Saturday.

Former England lock Ben Kay has insisted that the team can still win the Six Nations despite losing their opening game to France.

Gael Fickou's late try in Paris on Saturday saw England narrowly beaten 26-24 by their old rivals.

However, Kay is confident that Stuart Lancaster's side will be able to recover and claim the title in the coming weeks.

"I don't think England need to change an awful lot," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"They need to tighten things, focus. No one will win the Gram Slam, but England can still take this championship."

England return to action next Saturday when they make the trip to Scotland.
