James Haskell: 'England feeling positive'

England flanker James Haskell insists that there is a positive feeling within the camp despite their recent defeats to New Zealand and South Africa.

James Haskell has insisted that there is a positive feeling within the England camp despite suffering back-to-back defeats to New Zealand and South Africa.

Pressure has slowly increased on Stuart Lancaster's side over the past two weeks due to their losses on home turf against the All Blacks and the Springboks.

However, ahead of Saturday's clash with Samoa at Twickenham Stadium, Haskell believes that England still possess plenty of potential heading into the 2015 World Cup.

"It wasn't long, maybe three or four years ago, when we were getting absolutely destroyed by these teams. It's a mark of how far we have come that we're just falling short," the Wasps captain told BBC Sport.

"Every time you don't get a result after all the hard work it can be bitterly disappointing, but you have to turn that around. Positivity is right up there because we know how good this side can be."

Haskell was recently called up to the England squad for their match against Samoa after missing the defeats to New Zealand and South Africa.
