England fly-half Owen Farrell is nominated for the IRB Player of the Year award.

England's Owen Farrell has been nominated for the International Rugby Board Player of the Year award.

The Saracens fly-half will be up against New Zealand duo Richie McCaw and Dan Carter for the honour, while France's Frederic Michalak has also been named on the shortlist.

The winner will be announced in London on December 3.

Farrell, 21, is expected to feature for England on Saturday against the All Blacks at Twickenham.
