Shaun Wane expecting "amazing" Brisbane Broncos clash

Shaun Wane says that he is looking forward to coming up against legendary Australian coach Wayne Bennett when Wigan Warriors face Brisbane Broncos.

Wigan Warriors head coach Shaun Wane has insisted that he is "desperate" to pick up a victory over Brisbane Broncos in next weekend's World Club Series meeting.

The 50-year-old will come face to face with legendary coach Wayne Bennett at the DW Stadium in the second match of the inaugural competition, which pits together the two champion clubs of the Australasian National Rugby League and the European Super League, plus two additional invited clubs.

"In my eyes it is a game I'm desperate to win," Wane told the club's official website. "Coming up against someone of the calibre of their coach means everything to us.

"The history between us and them and the competition makes it even more special. It's going to be an amazing night down at the DW Stadium."

Wane also confirmed that Sean O'Loughlin will miss the match due to a knee injury which will see him sidelined for the next six weeks.
