Nick Scruton signs new Wakefield Trinity Wildcats deal

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats prop Nick Scruton pens a two-year contract extension with the Super League club.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats prop Nick Scruton has signed a new two-year contract with the Super League club.

The 29-year-old joined Wakefield from Bradford Bulls on a one-year deal back in March.

"I'm really happy," Scruton told the club's official website. "From the moment I got here I knew it was a club that I wanted to spend the next couple of years at as long as everything was going well on the field and everything has.

"I'm chuffed to bits to have another two years and hopefully we can move forward as a team and start being considered playoff candidates instead of relegation battlers."

Scruton has scored two tries in 16 appearances since arriving at Wakefield.
