Brian Noble: 'Theo Fages did really well'

Salford Red Devils coach Brian Noble hails the impact that stand-off Theo Fages had during Saturday's 44-18 win at London Broncos.

Salford Red Devils coach Brian Noble has hailed the impact of Theo Fages after the stand-off inspired Saturday's win at London Broncos.

French teenager Fages, who started in place of injured Kiwi Rangi Chase, scored two tries as Salford eased to a 44-18 victory in the capital.

"It is a tough ask for any player to step in for Rangi Chase and Theo did really well," Noble told reporters. "He showed the value that he has to us. He has not had much game time and I was really pleased with what he did for us today.

"Overall I thought it was a pretty good day. We were a bit scrappy in the first half and we had to defend well as London were very enthusiastic.

"But we showed our attacking prowess and I'm satisfied where we are at, at this stage of the season."

Salford are currently third in the Super League table after winning their first two games of the new season.
