Brian McDermott proud of Leeds Rhinos triumph

Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott is delighted with his side's courage after they come from behind to defeat Catalan Dragons in the Super League playoffs.

Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has hailed his side's courage after they defeated Catalan Dragons in the Super League playoffs.

The defending champions came from behind twice to claim a narrow 27-20 victory in Perpignan and book their place in the last four.

"I'm so proud to be in charge of a courageous group of young men prepared to do anything to get the job done," McDermott told Sky Sports News.

"It's a fantastic result. Commiserations go to Catalan who have been sensational all year. This is a significant win, coming over here to their backyard."

Leeds could now take on Super League leaders Wigan Warriors in the semi-finals.
