Hull Kingston Rovers have eased to victory in their Super League clash against the Widnes Vikings.
The home side took the lead in the eighth minute when Kris Welham found space to crash over the line from close range, while Joe Mantellato added the extras.
Widnes got on the scoreboard minutes later as the ball bounced awkwardly when Ben Cockayne tried to grab it near his own line, and Stefan Marsh was able to touch down with ease.
Mantellato edged Rovers further ahead with a try of his own, but Kevin Brown kept the visitors within two points when he went over the line.
Hull pushed away from the Vikings before the break as Mantellato and Albert Kelly added tries in quick succession to move them into a 12-point lead.
Ken Sio extended his side's advantage when he crashed over the line before the whistle to hand Hull a 26-10 lead at the break.
In the second half, Sio notched his second try of the game to all but secure his side's win, although Craig Dean did get the visitors back on the scoreboard as he went over from close range.
In the dying minutes, Sio completed his hat-trick when he raided through the demoralised Widnes defence to touch down and secure an emphatic win for the home side.
