Wolverhampton Wanderers considering Unai Nunez swoop?

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering a £26.8m bid for Athletic Bilbao centre-back Unai Nunez, who has previously been linked with Manchester City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Athletic Bilbao centre-back Unai Nunez this summer.

The 23-year-old has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent transfer windows, with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton among the clubs credited with an interest in the past.

CaughtOffside claims that Wolves have now joined that list of potential suitors and are considering an approach during the current transfer window.

Nunez reportedly has a €30m (£26.8m) release clause in his contract at San Mames, which would need to be triggered with Athletic unwilling to let him go for anything less than that.

The one-time Spain international made 26 appearances for Athletic last season, helping them to a Copa del Rey final which is yet to be played.

Wolves have made only one signing so far this summer, bringing in Matija Sarkic on a free transfer from Aston Villa.
