Wolverhampton Wanderers consider bid for Newcastle United's Aleksandar Mitrovic?

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering an approach for Newcastle United forward Aleksandar Mitrovic during the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United forward Aleksandar Mitrovic has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mitrovic is out of favour at St James' Park, which resulted in the Serbian international being loaned out to Fulham in January, where the 23-year-old has scored 11 times in 15 Championship appearances.

Despite his form, Mitrovic is unlikely to be given another opportunity by Rafael Benitez, and according to Chronicle Live, Newcastle are prepared to listen to offers of £20m and above.

Wolves are considering their options ahead of a return to the Premier League, and it appears that Nuno Espirito Santo has been impressed with Mitrovic's impact during his time at Craven Cottage.

The West Midlands outfit are expected to spend big before the start of the next campaign and could be prepared to meet Newcastle's asking price should they decide to firm up their interest.

Fulham will likely look to turn Mitrovic's loan spell into a permanent stay should they join Wolves in the top flight next season.
