The 25-year-old made 16 appearances on loan at Huddersfield last season, before returning to Wolves in the latter part of the campaign.
According to Sky Sports News, the midfielder is not prepared to drop into League One, with Huddersfield keen to acquire his services for the new season.
It is believed that a transfer fee has been agreed between the two clubs.
