Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly confident that Nuno Espirito Santo will pen a new contract before the beginning of next season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly expect Nuno Espirito Santo to pen a new contract in the near future.

The Portuguese has enjoyed huge success since his arrival in 2017 0 taking Wolves from the Championship to the Europa League - but the two parties have yet to formally announce an extension to his current deal, which has less than a year to run.

However, according to 90 min, club officials are confident that they will be able to confirm that the 46-year-old will remain at Molineux later this month.

The report suggests that an announcement could be made at the end of Wolves' Europa League campaign, which will continue when they square off against Sevilla in the quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Regardless of whether they make further progress in the competition, Nuno has allegedly been told that he will be provided with funds to sign new players.

Wolves must win the Europa League in order to secure a second successive season of continental football.
