Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has backed his players to be ready for this weekend's Championship opener against Norwich City.
The Midlands club finished their pre-season campaign on Sunday with a 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo - a result that stretched their unbeaten record to seven games.
While admitting that Norwich will provide Wolves with a stern test at Molineux on Sunday, Jackett believes that his side will rise to the occasion.
"We are ready now - we are ready to go and looking forward to the season," he told the club's official website.
"Norwich will be a big test for us because they have been very impressive and very free-flowing in pre-season. Looking at their teamsheet, it's a very good one.
"But it's the sort of test we wanted - that is why we are here and why we wanted to get into this league. It's a fantastic challenge and one we have to look forward to."
Wolves romped to the League One title last season, finishing the campaign with a nine-point lead at the top of the table.
