Kenny Jackett: "We have to come out fighting"

Kenny Jackett wants to see Wolverhampton Wanderers come out fighting against Middlesbrough in order to get their Championship campaign back on track.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has called on his players to show some fighting spirit in order to return to winning ways in the Championship.

Back-to-back defeats, coming against Derby County and Brentford over the past five days, have left Wolves down in 12th place.

Jackett admits that Wanderers must quickly pick themselves up with the visit of Middlesbrough to come at the weekend, which he believes offers the chance to make things right in front of home supporters.

"As a team and as a group we have to come out fighting - it's a quick turnaround and we are looking to do well on Saturday," he told the club's official website.

"It's disappointing to have had two defeats on the trot. It's a great game and it's one to look forward, I think there will be a big crowd and it's our responsibility and our aim to put on a really good performance - a better one than on Wednesday - and to show them that we all want to fight for the shirt."

Wolves have taken 15 points from their opening 12 games to leave themselves six points off a playoff place.
