Kenny Jackett, Simon Grayson nominated for League One manager of the month award

Kenny Jackett, Simon Grayson, Steve Evans and Nigel Clough are nominated for February's League One manager of the month award.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett and Preston North End boss Simon Grayson have been included in the nominations for League One's manager of the month award for February.

Jackett could be rewarded for moving Wolves to the top of the league table last month after securing maximum points.

The former Championship outfit may have only had three games to play last month, but a 3-0 win over rivals Brentford could prove pivotal in their campaign.

Preston have been mourning the death of legend Sir Tom Finney, who passed away at the age of 91 on February 14, but matters on the pitch did not suffer.

Grayson guided his team to an unbeaten run last month by taking three wins and three draws, which has placed them fourth in the standings, six points adrift of automatic promotion.

Sheffield United managed to come through a hectic month by clinching four victories from five games, as well as sealing a spot in the next round of the FA Cup.

Manager Nigel Clough could be handed the award for his efforts, which resulted in his side keeping four clean sheets and moving to 12th in the League One table.

Steve Evans has completed the list of nominations following Rotherham United's prolific run in February, which ended with the club taking 10 points from four games and scoring at least two goals in every fixture that month.

The winner will be announced on Friday, March 7.
