Kenny Jackett: 'Leon Clarke has Wolverhampton Wanderers future'

Leon Clarke still has a future at Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to manager Kenny Jackett.

Manager Kenny Jackett has moved to reassure Leon Clarke that he does have a future at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The striker has struggled for starting opportunities since he joined Wolves from Coventry City back in January.

However, following his match-winning contribution against Leeds United at the weekend, Jackett believes that the 29-year-old can have a positive impact on the team over the coming months.

"Leon can do very well for this season and he still has a very good future. He did very well on Saturday and gave us another dimension. Leon has the quality, the football brain and the experience and that's what we need at times in this role," the Express & Star has quoted Jackett as saying.

"He showed a lot of quality in terms of balls into him and retaining possession so we could get up the pitch."

Clarke's contract at Molineux is due to expire at the end of the season.
