Half-Time Report: Crawley Town hit back to lead Wolverhampton Wanderers

Crawley Town come from behind to take a 2-1 lead at the halfway stage of their League One clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Crawley Town have come from a goal behind to lead Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at the halfway stage of their League One meeting.

Both sides wrestled for control in the early stages of the match, with Crawley's Josh Simpson coming closest to opening the scoring with a sliced effort from distance.

A tame contest was sparked into life by James Henry, who handed the lead to Wolves by taking advantage of some space to fire into the top corner from 25 yards.

Crawley wasted no time in hitting back as they drew level just two minutes later when Billy Clarke took advantage of some confusion at the back to beat Carl Ikeme.

The hosts completed a seven-minute turnaround in the 32nd minute when Ikeme was beaten again, this time by Matt Tubbs, who was the latest Crawley player to be gifted a chance by some poor defending when he lobbed the ball over Ikeme's head.

Wolves could have been level before the break but Henry failed to double his personal tally for the evening when he fired over from inside the box.
