West Ham United and Newcastle United have reportedly placed Nice forward Amine Gouiri on their shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window.
Both the Hammers and Magpies wanted to bring in a new frontman during the closing days of the January edition, only to fail with their respective efforts.
However, depending on targets being met at the end of the season, the two Premier League sides will be in the market for a high-profile addition in that department later in 2022.
According to Calciomercato, West Ham and Newcastle could rival the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan for Gouiri.
The 22-year-old is enjoying a fine campaign in Ligue 1 with 10 goals and seven assists coming from 25 appearances in France's top flight.
Nice will attempt to retain the services of their star man, particularly if they are able to qualify for the Champions League group stages for the first time in their history.
Nevertheless, Gouiri has just over two years remaining on his contract, a scenario which may tempt Nice into a sale should they receive an offer which meets their valuation.
