Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is reportedly West Ham United's preferred choice to replace David Moyes in the London Stadium hotseat.
The Hammers announced on Wednesday afternoon that Moyes's short-term deal, which expired after the final game of the season, will not be renewed.
West Ham have already compiled a four-man shortlist of potential options to take charge from as early as next week, and The Mirror suggests that Benitez tops that list.
Former Watford boss Marco Silva, Manchester City title-winner Manuel Pellegrini and Shakhtar Donetsk's in-demand head coach Paulo Fonseca are also said to be in contention.
The report claims that Benitez retains a good relationship with the West Ham hierarchy, having agreed a deal to take over in 2015 before Real Madrid stepped in.
