Joe Cole urges his West Ham teammates to improve their away form ahead of Saturday's trip to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Joe Cole has urged his West Ham United teammates to build some momentum away from home on Saturday when they travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The Hammers, who beat Swansea City at Upton Park last weekend, have won only twice on their travels in the league this season.

"I think Saturday has given us a lift," Cole told the club's official website.

"Thirty points is a big barrier to get to and now we're all looking up. The next game is Aston Villa - we want to improve our away form and it's important that we get a result there.

"We need to get some momentum going on the road by getting points on the board."

Cole has scored one goal in five appearances for West Ham during the current campaign.
