West Ham United's Sam Allardyce disappointed with West Bromwich Albion draw

Sam Allardyce admits that West Ham United could have done better from leading positions against West Bromwich Albion.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has revealed his disappointment with his side's 3-3 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

However, the 59-year-old believes that conceding three goals at Upton Park in their Premier League match was down to the lack of back-ups to his injured defenders.

"Leading twice at home and not winning is disappointing from my point of view," he told Sky Sports News.

"The fact of the matter is that we haven't got the defenders on the field that we need - and that, for me, is the key to why we've not won the game. Playing four full-backs across the back four because every centre-back is now injured is a massive blow to us.

"In fairness to the lads they showed magnificent coping skills today. The crowd were on their back, not giving them the support they need - and they turned it around to get the crowd back on their side."

West Ham are currently second from bottom in the league table with 15 points from 19 matches.
