West Bromwich Albion are reportedly considering offering former Totttenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood the head coach's role at The Hawthorns.
The 45-year-old is said to have spoken to the Baggies' hierarchy after being placed on a six-man shortlist following the departure of Pepe Mel at the end of last season.
According to the Express & Star, West Brom are expected to open contract negotiations with Sherwood after he impressed chairman Jeremy Peace during talks, which included a formal interview last Friday.
Reports have claimed that the Premier League club, who beat relegation last season, are hoping to table a contract offer in the next 24 hours.
Sherwood became available after he was sacked by Tottenham last month following an interim stint at White Hart Lane.
