Mikhail Fomenko has said that Harry Redknapp is the right candidate to become the national's team new coach.
The Ukrainian Football Association revealed on Tuesday that they want the 65-year-old to take charge of the team that has been without a head coach since September.
"He has a lot of experience, coaching talent and knows how to motivate footballers," said FFU official Fomenko.
"In whatever team he led Redknapp very quickly improved the quality of the play and achieved significant progress. Today he is an expert in the game and one of the best English coaches."
Redknapp is currently working in an advisory role at Bournemouth.
