The Ukrainian Football Association have revealed that they want Harry Redknapp to take charge of the country's national team.
Redknapp has been approached by the governing body following Andriy Shevchenko's decision to reject the chance to take charge of his country.
"The Praesidium took the decision to begin talks with Redknapp's representatives relating to him working in the post of chief coach of the national Ukraine team," a statement from the Ukrainian FA read.
Ukraine are currently fifth in their World Cup qualifying group, which also includes Redknapp's native England.
The Yellows have been without a coach since Oleg Blokhin left to take control of Dynamo Kiev in September.
