Team News: Antonio Di Natale starts for Udinese

Veteran striker Antonio Di Natale leads the Udinese attack in tonight's Serie A opener against Empoli.

Antonio Di Natale has been named in the Udinese starting lineup for this evening's Serie A match against Empoli.

The striker has put off his plans of retirement after scoring 20 goals for the Bianconeri last season and grabbed five goals for his team in last week's Coppa Italia win over Ternana.

He is partnered by Luis Muriel in the attack, but summer acquisitions Cyril Thereau and Panagiotis Kone both have to make do with a place on the bench.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Empoli have handed starts to forwards Francesco Tavano and Levan Mchedlidze as they look for a win on their return to the top flight.

Udinese: Karnezis, Heurtaux, Danilo, Domizzi, Widmer, Allan, Guilherme, Badu, Pasquale, Muriel, Di Natale

Empoli: Sepe, Laurini, Tonelli, Rugani, Hysaj Vecino, Valdifiori, Croce, Verdi, Tavano, Mchedlidze
