Toulouse held by Evian Thonon Gaillard

Toulouse fail to get the better of Ligue 1 relegation candidates Evian Thonon Gaillard as they are held to a goalless draw at home.

Toulouse have been held to a goalless draw by Evian Thonon Gaillard at home in Ligue 1.

Cedric Barbosa had the game's first chance after just six minutes but his attempt from outside the box was too high.

Etienne Didot saw his shot from close range saved on 21 minutes before his Toulouse teammate Etienne Capoue headed off target.

Minutes later Djakaridja Kone failed to place his header on target, and Franck Tabanou had two chances in a minute just before the break.

Chances were few and far between in the opening minutes of the second half, as Evian's Saber Khelifa shot narrowly wide on the hour mark.

Then Eden Ben Basat tried his luck for the home side from distance but in vain and Capoue too met the same fate on 76 minutes when he went for goal from the left side of the Evian box.
