Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Lyon vs. PSG

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Lyon vs. PSG.

Toulouse vs. Clermont (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Toulouse will be looking to avoid back-to-back league defeats when they welcome a struggling Clermont side to Stadium de Toulouse on Sunday afternoon in Ligue 1.

The hosts are winless in their last two matches, while Clermont are yet to earn any points at the start of the 2023-24 term in the top division of France.

We say: Toulouse 2-0 Clermont

Toulouse have earned points against both Nantes and PSG so far this term, so Les Violets will be confident of recording a maximum at home to Clermont on Sunday.

The Lancers have looked vulnerable in defence during the opening stages of the season, and we expect the visitors to extend their losing run to four matches on the weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Lille vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Lille will be hoping to return to winning ways when they welcome Montpellier HSC to Decathlon Arena on Sunday afternoon in their fourth Ligue 1 match of the new season.

The hosts suffered a heavy defeat at Lorient in their most recent domestic fixture, while Montpellier were beat by home by Will Still's Reims side.

We say: Lille 1-0 Montpellier HSC

Lille will have restored some confidence after advancing to the group stage of the Conference League in the week, and they should have enough quality to continue their unbeaten streak on home soil.

Montpellier were big winners at Lyon in their first Ligue 1 outing of the term, but we expect them to fall short at Decathlon Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Le Havre vs. Lorient (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Newly-promoted Le Havre will attempt to claim their first win of the season when they welcome Lorient to Stade Oceane for Sunday's Ligue 1 encounter.

In contrast to their hosts, Lorient have made an encouraging start to the 2023-24 campaign, collecting five points from their opening three matches.

We say: Le Havre 1-2 Lorient

Le Havre will be hoping to record their first win of the season, but we think that they will be edged out by a confident Lorient side who would have been buoyed by last weekend's 4-1 win over Lille.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Metz vs. Reims (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Metz will have the chance to claim consecutive Ligue 1 victories when they welcome Reims to the Stade Saint-Symphorien on Sunday.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be looking to record a third successive win after beating Clermont and Montpellier in their last two outings.

We say: Metz 1-2 Reims

Reims are currently sitting two points adrift of league leaders Marseille, who have played a game more, and we think that they will remain in touch with the early pacesetters by claiming a third consecutive victory on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Nice vs. Strasbourg (Sunday, 4.05pm)

Early strong starters Strasbourg make the trip to the south of France to face Nice at the Allianz Riviera in Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.

Nice have made an underwhelming but unbeaten start, while Strasbourg are up in the European places at this early stage.

We say: Nice 2-1 Strasbourg

Nice have had some tricky fixtures to open with and have done well to remain unbeaten so far.

However, their fans will want to see three points here, and they should be able to find it, especially given Strasbourg's troubles on the road and the recent off-field news regarding Bellegarde's exit.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Lyon vs. PSG (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Two clubs suffering from underwhelming starts in Ligue 1 meet at the Groupama Stadium on Sunday night, when Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain round off the weekend's action.

Lyon currently occupy the relegation zone at this early stage, while PSG only got their first win of the season last weekend.

We say: Lyon 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain

PSG have won six of their last eight Ligue 1 away matches, scoring two or more on each occasion while also drawing the other two, so will come in as big favourites.

Blanc will not want to enter the international break with his side still in the relegation zone, but the task may be too much for a side very much out of form.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
