Team News: Jose Mourinho recalls John Obi Mikel

John Obi Mikel returns to the Chelsea midfield for the visit of West Ham United to Stamford Bridge.

John Obi Mikel has been selected by Jose Mourinho ahead of Frank Lampard and Nemanja Matic for Chelsea's clash with West Ham United on Wednesday.

The Nigerian starts alongside Ramires in central midfield for the hosts, while Cesar Azpilicueta is once again preferred to Ashley Cole at left-back.

Kevin Nolan has returned from suspension to take his place in the West Ham side and is likely to provide support for Andy Carroll, who starts on his own up front.

New signings Marco Borriello and Antonio Nocerino are both named on the bench for the visitors.

Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Mikel, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Eto'o

West Ham: Adrian, Demel, Tomkins, Collins, O'Brien, Diame, Noble, Downing, Nolan, Taylor, Carroll
