Swedish FA chief Lars Richt has confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not reverse his retirement decision to play for Sweden in this summer's World Cup finals.
The Los Angeles Galaxy striker had hinted earlier this month that he intended to take part at Russia 2018, two years after playing his last match for the Blue-Yellows.
Sweden manager Janne Andersson rubbished suggestion that Ibrahimovic will be involved, however, and Richt has now further clarified that the 36-year-old is not available for selection with a little over a month to go until the tournament gets up and running.
"I talked to Zlatan on Tuesday. He announced he did not change his mind about the national team - it is no," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
Ex-Manchester United ace Ibrahimovic scored 62 goals in 116 caps for Sweden, before retiring after Euro 2016.
