Report: Federico Fernandez in Wales for Swansea City medical

A report claims that Napoli centre-back Federico Fernandez is in Wales undergoing a medical with Swansea City.

Napoli centre-back Federico Fernandez is reportedly in Wales undergoing a medical with Swansea City ahead of a move to the Premier League outfit.

Swans boss Garry Monk confirmed last week that a deal had been reached for the defender, who represented Argentina four times at this summer's World Cup.

According to Sky Sports News, Swansea have parted with £7m for the versatile defender and he will sign a long-term deal upon the completion of medical tests.

Swansea have reportedly beaten off a host of competition to sign the 25-year-old.
