Swansea City 'confident of landing Federico Fernandez before new season'

Swansea City are reportedly confident of landing Federico Fernandez's signature from Napoli before the start of the season this weekend.

Swansea City are reportedly confident that Federico Fernandez will become a Premier League player before the start of the new season.

The Napoli defender has been touted as a possible replacement for Chico Flores, who is moving to Qatar.

The Swans kick off their league campaign with a trip to face Manchester United on Saturday, but they are hopeful that a work permit will be sorted for Fernandez in time, according to the Daily Mail.

Reports have claimed that terms have been agreed with Fernandez after Napoli accepted an £8m fee.
