Francesco Guidolin has admitted that he would like to keep Leroy Fer at Swansea City.
The Dutch midfielder is due to return to his parent club Queens Park Rangers following Sunday's home encounter against Manchester City.
However, having been impressed by the 26-year-old during his loan stint at the Liberty Stadium, Guidolin is hopeful that something permanent can be sorted.
"Leroy has been a good surprise. I didn't know him before but he has helped the team in the last part of the season, he is a good player and it is possible he stays here," the South Wales Evening Post quotes the Swansea boss as saying.
"He is an option. I don't know if he wants to stay, I think so, but he could be a good option to stay."
Fer has made a total of 10 Premier League appearances for the Swans.
