Crewe Alexandra have taken Swansea City midfielder Adam King on loan until the New Year.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the Welsh outfit last season in a 6-2 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup third round.
Appearances in the senior set-up have been kept to a minimum, however, with King being made to make do with more regular appearances at Development League Two level.
Crewe will now take the youngster, who joined the Swans from Hearts last year, under their wing until January 5.
"It was a perfect opportunity for me and once I heard of Crewe's interest then I jumped at the chance," he told the League One side's official website. "It will be a great experience for me and I can't wait to get into the training and play some pre-season games.
"It is a massive step from development football but one I am really looking forward to and I just want to get started. I have only heard good things about Crewe, the people who work here, the fans and how they give young players a chance."
Fellow City youngster Kenji Gorre today penned a new three-year deal at the Liberty Stadium.
