Sunderland have reportedly agreed a fee with Brighton & Hove Albion for midfielder Liam Bridcutt.
The Championship side have accepted an offer from the Black Cats of £2.5m, according to Sky Sports News.
Should the deal go through, Bridcutt will be reunited with Sunderland boss Gus Poyet, who managed him at Brighton.
The 24-year-old has handed in a transfer request earlier this month, although it was rejected.
The Scotland international joined the Seagulls from Stockport County in 2010.
