New Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has suggested that he may recall striker Asamoah Gyan from his loan deal with UAE side Al Ain.
The Black Cats currently earn £6m from the season-long deal, while Gyan is reportedly on four times the wages that he was at the Stadium of Light.
"Yes, absolutely I will address it. I have to talk to Niall (Quinn, Sunderland director) about exactly where we stand on that. But yes, again, his position will definitely be looked at," said O'Neill.
"I don't know the lad at all. Again, he got off to a great start so the potential is there, but I will have a look at it."
Gyan moved to Wearside from Rennes in summer 2010 for a club-record £13m fee.
